HL RX 14 board

Hi Guy's just took all the WSN RC gear out of my T 34/85 so I could upgrade to an RX 14 board. All went well enough except when I tested the drive controls the stick was reversed. Not only were the tracks running backwards to stick inputs the stick inputs were also reversed in effect the stick input for normal forward motion ( stick up ) gave superspin and the stick movment for superspin ( sideways ) gives forward and reverse. Opened the tranny and swaped the 2 three pin connectors round. This got me as far as giving me forward and reverse on the up and down stick inputs all be it in reverse ( up stick = reverse and downstick = forward ) countered this by swaping motor wires round. So far so good then found that the turn inputs are reversed ( stick to top left = turn left but stick top right = reverse left on the same track ). However if I operate the stick diagonally I get tracks turning the tank left and right as it should. Has anyone else had this problem. I have tried a second tranny with the same results and I have swaped to another RX 14 and changed reciver boards. Both trannys worked fine with RX 13 boards on other tanks but gave me the same results on the RX 14 boards. Any Ideas where I may have gone wrong.  ?

could be that you fouled up the wiring when you swapped the boards over. and you sorted it out yourself other then that I have no idea.

Hi BREL wish it was that simple I have an idiots guide to RX 14 wiring connections and everything only fits one way. Thats what is confusing me so much. All the best for now

Go Back to the start when you started why did you swop the wires in the transmiter they should have been o.k. If you push stick up and it spins it means 1 motor was wired backwards and 1 was correct you should have swoped the 1 motor which was turning backwards then if the stick inputs were left it goes right swop the motor wires left to right and right to left .you should not have changed wires in transmiter.

Cheers Pete mate worked a treat. Put everything back as it was and guess what it was a simple swap the wiring round on one motor. Now it all works as it should. Thanks for the common sense aproach Pete I was making problems for myself where there were none. Just the turret wiring to sort out now  and she will be a good un. All the best and thanks again Pete

Your welcome Alan next time somthing goes wrong this is what I do make a cup of tea sit down and play with it to understand just what is wrong and dont do anything till the tea is gone if you havnt solved it by the time you have drunk the tea make another.

Trust me Pete if I tried that method I would end up wetting myself. My tried and trusted method is mess round till you don't know your a@*e from your elbow. Swear a lot strop round for 10 min chuck the lot back down the shed then go and ask someone who may know on the forum ( only joking ). Thanks again for a healthy dose of common sense and I think I may try the sit down drink a cuppa aproach it seems to work. All the best for now

tankman youre like me, if you cant sort it, kick it and swear at it. this is one good reason for coming on this forum, you get plenty of people who know how to do it without the swearing or kicking

The odd thing is why do we find this hobby "relaxing" ?. I think my dear lady wife is just waiting for me to have a heart attack so she can clean up on the insurance lol  .
