Energy Efficient Lightbulbs...oh hell!

I decided to repaint my Tiger while I am waiting for various bits to arrive, and thought a nice blue grey would set it off nicely. Of course, as the dark winter evenings are here, I was working in my kitchen, and being eco friendly I use energy efficient lightbulbs. I mixed up some paint, a nice dark colour, almost green, and painted the Tiger, then did all of the detail work over the next few days. The paint dried out properly over the next few days and instead of the blue grey that I thought I had applied, the daylight last weekend revealed a totally different colour!

Now should I start again or is there a Panzer division somewhere that was tasked with defending Hawian beaches?

Phew...thank goodness for my airbrush!

A quick blow over with a mucky colour, now I can start adding all of the detail back on!!  :-[

My old digital camera is awful, it actually looks a lot better in real life. I will try and get a pic outside in daylight sometime.

I have an idea
turn the lights off and then look at it and it should look ok in the dark
or just run it under energy saving bulbs and the it will appear ok as well

Hell that was rubbish wasn't it!

Mixed up some grey, sprayed the whole thing, then handbrushed olive drab on. I am not a fan of airbrushing WW2 tanks, they are as rough as hell in real life.

It's now starting to look better, the flash pics are terrible, but I will get some daylight ones sometime (when I have my new transfers and tools on it).

...and Greeny may as well have the kettle, he drinks more of my tea than I do!!

and a dusting with Tamiya rust, just need to wipe off the excess with a damp cotton bud now. Still awaiting my new decals.
