Der Stier's Tiger

Thought I'd better post a some pics of my Tiger. I realise there is some stuff to do still (yeah yeah waiting for folk saying it will always be an ongoing project lol) to do :- proper non shiny numbers and crosses and an id flag and regimental ID, I have the barrel extension waiting (cautious about ruining the BB gun, not sure whether to fit a barrel sleeve as I do it?), relocate the aerial, headight covers (maybe also switchable) and a bit more weathering (there are no model shops on the island so have started mudding up the tracks and hull with off the shelve emulsion paint). I gave the fake steel ropes a lick of silver wheels and a thinned coating of brown hickson's decor along with the wooden fixtures and painted the commander with what I could lay my hands on. I will stay with the Panzer grey and maybe settle on a Gross Deutchland number. I bought the tank from Forgebear who is a perfect dealer as he sorted out damage caused by the Post Office no problem at all, I decided to go for 3:1 gearboxes (which I thoroughly recommend- although better still if they came stock with them) (far more controllable and more torque) wich Dave didn't have in stock at the time so I got got them from Welshdragon Models mega prompt. I think this is a great site and would like to thank everybody for posting pics which gives newbies like myself ideas and inspiration to go forward. :~
