Wartime Beetle (Camo Kafer)

Post by Panzerman »

Came across an old Revell 1/16th Beetle she is a 1951/52 model which I am
adapting back to a wartime machine, will also be rc as I plan to fit her to a
Tamiya Kublewagon chassis and she will have a rad camo paint job!

Image Image

Rather than letting the Kublewagon body collect dust my plan is to be able to swap the bodys
on and off the chassis. With a bit of planning and some careful cutting I can pull this off.
(See original Tamiya Kublewagon below top pic and Kuble with guards cut off below.)

Pics with paint soon.............

I picked up one of those a couple of years ago. It's still sitting on my shelf waiting to be made.

Very good!
Trying to think in which theatre would the germans have found waves?
French coast, maybe North Africa?

Maybe not Herbie how about Hermin?

Got some camo on found a nice scheme on the net, couldn't resist!

Also converting a 1/25th diecast Beetle to wartime colours.

This was a lot harder to do than it looks!

Had to scratch build horns on bumper, horn and guard mounted convoy light.

And don't forget the Kublewagon.
