Guys, can anyone tell me the closest paint colour ( in any range) for the interior of a late war KT. I think the German word was Eifenbein or something like that. Its an ivory or buff colour.

Many thanks.

This number is for Testors Enamel 2104 Panzer Interior buff. That is what Testors offers. Sax

Thanks fella's, Testors isn't a company much used here so I don't know a lot about them, humbrol I could go with. My main paints are Tamiya, Vallejo or Life colour but I can't seem to find anything close except life colour do an interior colour set I think. Many thanks.

You could be right mate. I'm following the build in AFV modellers magazine and the guy is just awesome with his detail down to individual boldheads and he has the "eifenbien" colour for the walls of his tiger so I was thinking if its good enough for him I'm gonna try it. I think I will join the web page and email the build site as I have a nasty feeling I will be using it a lot. Cheers.

methinks you're right Ice, from late 44 they were left in primer.

Thanks for that piece of info, maybe I need to repaint the inner side of my commanders hatch to oxide red then.

Other than that I have to agree. The German museum tanks that I've seen (I know, you shouldn't trust museum tanks that much...) have been painted with bone white in the interior, as well as the museum Shermans that I've seen.

Cheers, Jens
