I built the Tamiya PZ4J kit in August thru Nov 2008 and it has grown on me over time and become a favorite go to runner. Basically stock with just a Daryl Turner gear box mount brace – metal elevation arm and Impact metal tracks: it is a great running model with terrific sound effects.
I have made several changes in the last two years including updating to a Futaba 2.4 radio and repainting the Tamiya DAK Rommel figure to command my tank. While not historically accurate to command any single tank; let alone a "J" model; he had, of course, moved on to panzer heaven during the J model run; I still thought Rommel should command & rc fight my Panzer IV.
