Tamiya battery connectors mod?

Ok just wondering if you can get rid of them two connectors and just solder the wires together and just use one connector instead of three as standard?
Hi If you cut the wires on the dmd/mf units you invalidate the warrenty,so if anything goes wrong and you have cut the wires, you will have to buy a replacment instead of Tamiya replacing it.
