Ok guys Ive finaly got another Tamiya tank (and no I wont throw this one out of the window like the last one)
this is a 1974 sherman with a few minor (i use few & minor lightly here) missing parts
I bought it for the grand sum of £85 all in from a freind and well the question is what do I do with it ?
could fit HL gearboxs & electronics & seeing as I sell these parts on ebay that kind of makes sence or I could do it up as std but money is extreamly tight and parts for tamiya's are not cheap
all I know is it will be used lightly when finished and i will be fitting an IR system to it if possible
please give me your idea's

Pete

Those are the clutchs acting as front sprockets ? :wtf: I wonder if perishing ones will fit ? :~

hi Pete
I'd put the new Mato Sherman boards in just for the sound. If I can get some I intend putting them in one of my 74 Shermans.

Ok Ive finaly got some time to work on the sherman so it got a very quick wipe over with some khaki drab and Ive thrown some Heng Long Tiger 1 Gearbox's in it along with electrics and Snow leopard drive sprockets (shame the Tamiya tarcks where slightly out for use with these)
Now to check the problems and solve them;
:crazy:

I still need item B2 for the front of the main body and the two things that go on the rear next to the doors + two of the metal clip thingys that hold the body on if any one has got them
cheers
Pete

Pete before you grind off those drive shafts can i suggest that you go on ebay and find the final drive covers which are made by Wight of this forum , maybe you could pm him and ask
if he has any and they you will know not to grind off too much.......
Just a thought.........

Pete,
I bought a 74 Sherman on eBay, just for the metal tracks, so if you need any bits and bobs
let me know.

As for the drive covers, they can be found here for about 26.00 US.
