lol, im not entirerly sure! probably because of the detail quality - and mainly the brand name! it probably cost's more for them to mass produce them as kits as it does like heng long to mass produce them made!

ohh blitz put some grease paper on the battery compantment and lined the rim where the seal is with sealent, in the hope that it dried in the post (i think) and the sealent wouldnt stick to the grease paper - only when i opened the battery compantment it did and most of it peeled off. i havent done anything about it yet - only justy not drive through water! olso he filled the gaps where the srews go with glue but it bubbled and their are gaps - but i cannot get to the screws to get the top off without actually messing up the few that did work

. but they can be replaced. Also through rough driving a one of the rear tough hooks pinned off and i lost it

so their is a big hole in the back

ahh well. not gonna risk driving in water anyway - only wanted it waterproofed in case of accident! lol
