If you're talking about those pallets that look like makeup thingies, they're ok. I prefer to use MIG production pigments myself. There are loads of different powders to choose from, god knows how many different dusts, Russia, desert, european, and loads more than you will ever need, in small tubs about the size of a humbrol tinlet of paint. They also do them in sets, rust and oil, industrial grime, stuff like that. You can also mix it with thier acrylic resin and thicken it up for mud and such like. They also do some REALLY good washes too. They can be expensive but they last a really long time and if they're good enough for MIG ( check out his models!!!) they're good enough for me! His tracks pigment is the dogs, I use it loads. Having said that, I'm sure some guys have thier own choices.

I agree one hundred percent, with Abo, yep mig are the best choice or you go down the route of grinding down pastels yourself but very messy, and with mig goods you can use a pigment fixer that once it,s dried, it will not come off but you can paint over it if you wish too........also check out the Tips page on rust plus there are loads more things to pick up on these pages............
Fleshy.....................

No problem mate. This is the site I use, there are others, possibly cheaper but its next day delivery and I haven't ever had a problem with them. click onto http://www.netmerchants.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Click onto paints and sundries then click onto "mig products and vallejo pigments" and there should be 3 pages of the stuff for you to pick from. I also bought the Mig DVD ( try the latest, its called AFV acrylic techniques, its brilliant!) showing you how to apply the pigments which is very good. Of course its an advertising tool for its own products but it also gives you techniques to use if you want to go with other makes. As I said, the stuff is a little more expensive but you don't need a lot so it lasts a long time. I wouldn't use anything else now and I returned to the hobby, sorry, addiction, some 4 years back. If you need any more info just holla.
