Hi Chris, Use automotive pin stripping tape or hobby pin stripping tape. The local shop sells it here. But where is the barrel cracked? I have T-34 tank kill decals in three sizes that may work out better? Here is a picture of the markers on my Tiger Barrel. regards Blake

Hi Chris, Well the company name is PACTRA, and the product is made in the UK. perhaps you can search some UK sites and find a on-line vendor. I use this for Water line marking on my ship models and the kill rings. When you purchase a container all color the tape comes in have 8-different widths. I paid 10.00US per roll. Hope this helps this is a good product once applied it is very hard to remove.
Cheers Blake

hi Chris, the roll has 8 sizes in fractional widths. 1/16" is the size that matches the decals kill ring sizes of most decal sets in 1/16 scale.
The metric equal would be 1.5mm, the thing is some of the crews used a wider band to equal 5kills and even 10 kills with the smaller rings numbering 4 kills and adding only after another 5 kills. It's like every thing else in this hobby, peoples feeling and environment decided so much of the camo, painting and personal markings of their armor. So if it looks good do it.
If you cannot find what you need try Monkey Depot, or send me 13.00 US and I will purchased the pactra stripping, a roll is 72"long with 8 sizes per roll. Black and white is stocked at the local hobby shop,9.99+tax would be about 10.80 US and the cost to send it about 3.00 us. Just let me know what you need,
cheers Blake

I say sand the crack down, fill any gaps with Milliput, repaint the barrel and then paint the white stripes on by hand like they did in the field

this is what Fynsdad did on his Tiger and it looks great, here is a link if you have not seen it before

Have to agree Kieth that Fynsdad has done a fine job with his Tiger, excellent detailing indeed. But like Chris I took the easy way out on mine. Cheers Blake9
