Hi
Ever since I saw this video by the Gorillaz I've wanted to do an RC version of the truck they used. It's all slab sided so it looks like an easy construction. I'm sure the axles will be easy to source.
Have a look, the music is good (I think so)

Well done Iain.
Thats definately a good start. I've taken 2 screen dumps from the video and it is just slightly different to any of the ones you offered. The windows don't match, but the mine proof lower is spot on. I just need accurate drawings now. I'll give the Blueprint website ago later. Its either pull a motorbike to bits in my new garage or build one of these in 1/16.

Not interested in doing it on a cheap RC car. would rather scratch build it all and find the right axles off another kit. Soldering brass together to make a chassis would be the start. I just need to do some accurate drawings for starters. 1/16 is the ideal size.

Nice, but wrong scale again. I reckon the axles I'd need would have to come from the old Tamiya Hilux. I need to get dimensions for it and wheelbase sorted first. I'm not after a quick fix. It would have to stand up to some serious scrutiny at the end. The inside of the vehicle lends it self to many options like smoke generation for the exhuast pipe. The pictures you guys are finding are 75% there. The one in the video has a more V-shaped windscreen (makes it look a bit sportier). Keep looking though please.
