Hi Guys
I'm going to seem like a right numpty now but here goes
I went on TANKZONE website earlier to see what upgrades they had for my H/L Kv and got a bit confused/concerned...
The main question is...wait for it.....how do you fit the top deck to a metal hull as there seems to be no sticky uppy bits for the screws to secure the top deck

it secures under the front bow plate and at the rear via a bracket from the bottom

Ok..the reason i asked is that i was thinking of cutting 1 of the front mounts off of my Kv to allow me to fit the ariel in the proper place but im worried it will sit twisted or let the lower hull twist (altho i have taken that screw out and run the tank around for a while and it seems ok)

No time to go into detail, but I just moved the brass base to the front and drilled a hole. Works great.

That sure is 1 very nice Kv you have there
So far all i have done to mine is to cut the wires to the front light (the flashing got annoying) and i have ordered a light set for a 1/10 tc so i can have a rear light too,,going to run them off the smoker switch
I have also moved my ariel to the front bit i want to put the brass nipple under the hill and just have some of the antenna showing..will post pics when its finished

Added some updated pics to my KV build thread. Sure hope boobies do no offend members here.
I purposely mounted mine with the spring exposed so it could still flex without bending. It certainly cut down the range to around 100ft, but in my hood, that's plenty far. If I need more range, I can always add something internally.
