New to tanks

Morning all.
I've just startedt o get into R/C tanks after a recent visit to Bovington.
Problem is, I already seem to have made my first mistake.
I found a Heng Long Panther with metal tracks and gearbox on E-bay and bid £49 pounds and won. Well chuffed.
What has arrived in the post is nothing like the picture and has plastic tracks. Gutted.
Now I'm having problems getting in touch with the trade seller. Gutted again!!
I knew I should have gone to Howes and paid that bit more for peace of mind!!
Anyhow, are there any more tankers out there in Berkshire?
Regards
Galaxsea

You're not wrong there.
Now got to raise a case against the seller to get my money back.

welcome to the forum
you have a case a gainst the seller because the tank did not match the discription
because they said it had metal tracks and you got plastic tracks
I suspect the sent you the pantiger and not the proper panther

Welcome Galaxsea,
Tough break on your Panther but you will be able to pursue them through e-bay as the product you recieved is clearly not the one that was put up for auction- they will not have an idler wheel to stand on.
Better luck next time !!

Thanks for all your welcomes and supportive messages.
I have been in contact with E-bay who have been very helpful. The seller has absolutely refused me a refund but told E-bay that I need to return the goods to him for a refund.
I'm deffinately not sending anything anywhere until this is agreed!!
The Seller's name is "toyscrazytoys". He has just advertised the same tank for £75.00 "buy it now" terms. Funny how mine was a bid.
He used to go by the name "toysgreattoys". There is a web site but half the site is missing.
I'm gutted that, whilst trying to get into a great new hobby I've been dupped at the first step.
Still, this deffinately is adictive as grim_marmazet says!!
