Sherman decals

Post by grim_marmazet »

Does anyone know where I could find a decal for the loading information that was stencilled on the side of Shermans, shown here?

Image

I can't seem to find a decal of it in 1/16. If none exist, do you know where I could get one made up?

Cheers,
Rik

Unfortunately the lettering is way to small for me to paint accurately by hand, hence asking for decals.

I cant help with the decals im afraid, but Hobby Craft do a range of white paint pens, some with very fine tips, i used one to do the writing on my sherman, its simple, you just shake it to mix the paint and write as you would with a normal pen, they are only cheap and might be worth a shot.

Here is something similar on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Edding-780-White- ... 3353f2c3ae" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks Keith, thats a top tip! :thumbup: I'll have to give it a go, at worst, i'll just paint over it.

Now my next question is, are the numbers in the above picture accurate, and does anyone have a picture of the loading information on the real thing?

Cheers,

Thanks for the offer Blake, but I only have the one decal to do, and it would be a shame to ruin a whole sheet for just the one. How do you print white decals with clear backgrounds? I though you needed and OKI or ALPS printer to do that?

Cheers,
Rik
