Barrel recoil distance

Post by Saxondog »

I have been unable to find out some information on the barrels used in the King Tiger. The Tamiya KT Barrel 255mm long. And has a recoil stroke of 25mm +/_ 2mm. What it the true recoil stroke of the King Tiger?

And if someone knows the length of the Tiger Barrel which has the same recoil stroke of 25mm +/_2 mm. And the stroke of the real Tiger it will be very helpful. The main thing is recoil stroke or travel this piece of information is needed.

Cheers all,Blake

the recoil on the kt tamiya is 1 1/8 not 25mm and the tiger is 1 inch the recoil cylinders in a king tiger are 48 inches there abouts and the recoil depends on the shot fired as recoil was a reaction of the shell propellent armor piecing would recoil more than high explosive the max recoil was always over come by the springs in the acumulation chamber the cylinders pushed the hydraulic fuid into on recoil
