I keep passing this ruddy great army vehicle park in the middle of an olive orchard on Samos.
It's full of various US type assault craft, Merc lorries, Merc Jeeps, tracked vehicles, gun carriers and tanks.
Rotten part is that it's surrounded by guards and ruddy notices about not taking fotos. I've chatted up the guards for 2 weeks but sorry no pics of the tracked vehicles. They look like tracked landing craft and US tanks not Brit or German ones..
Back thursday...bugger

DO NOT TRY TO TAKE ANY PHOTOS!!
The greek authorities have a very different veiw of ANYBODY who takes pics of Military/aircraft civil areas.
If you do it a lot of grief will to you very quickly and very serverly.
Eventually you will be seen by the British Consulate but it could be anything from three weeks to months before you get home.
This is a serious warning!! The latest tourists to fall foul of the system were from Gloustershire - Check out their story of woe on the BBC website.

Many thanks for the heads up...but I was wary of that one already.
I kept chatting up the soldiers for 2 weeks but got nowhere. I got to go inside the compound and look over everything... but no fotos.
Its a shame they are not as fussy about the rest of their things, have you seen their cars and back roads!!!!
I hired a 4x4 for a week, it had 6 inches of free play in the steering, this proved to be interesting on the hilly roads.
Have a great weekend
