HL KV-1 exhausts

I've just fitted a pair of metal exhaust outlets to my KV-1 but hooking them up to the smoker is proving difficult.

The length of the tubing required means when you refit the upper hull it bends the tubing so much it blocks the smoke and also fouls on the gearboxes.

Has anyone here successfully got these working? I was really looking forward to seeking smoke chugging out the top of the KV and not the tailight. ;)

Any help greatly appreciated.

i had to swap over the gearboxes to stug type to give the needed room for the pipe hook ups

Or go to your pet store and buy the male to male air tubing parts for $.99 and a foot of tubing for less.
