I was kind of hoping for Tamiya to showcase some British Armour at the Shizuoka Model Show. It sadly seems Tamiya want to scale down though.

I'd kill for a Tamiya Cromwell or Comet!

Cheers,
Rik

Perhaps they should lower thier prices a little, make them more accessible = more folks buying them = more profits = More funds for development and new lines. (just a thought)

Its strange that most manufacturers have made a majority of German WWII armour. Ok it is the most interesting, but we need to show that they should diversify a bit more. Once the Hooben T55 comes into a few hands that should spark a few interesting modifications. For me post war armour is more interesting. I have my old Leopard A4 (sadly still not running due too lack of funds. We are saving for so much right now for a wedding, house and childcare) but I'd like one day to be able to choose from some interesting options. My wish is for a T72 or a Merkava.

I know its a bit off, but I'd love to see a USMC M50A1 ONTOS. It just looks sick.

I agree it would be nice to see them lower prices, but how far could they lower them? You get a lot for your money in a Tamiya. I think their large kits just cost so much in start up, its hard for them to add a larger range in todays economy.
Saying that, its not unusual to spend £500 plus on other R/C models, such as cars and planes. You only have to look at boats and subs to see how cheap Tamiya tanks are in comparison to other forms of R/C.
