As you may have noticed I currently have my Hetzer on the go taking up what little shed space I have, but today I got access to a little workshop so I decided to make a start on the Jagdpanzer

Well first things first as you see the tracks and drive sprockets needed removing, the tracks needed loosening up, the sprocket have been removed and the gap adjusted to allow the tracks to actually take the sprocket teeth, then the final drive bolt mod

Tomorrow I have plans for the motors to go in :)

P.S. The current paint scheme will be going, i'm thinking just grey with heavy weathering at the moment ;D

Cool! Also, the pair of pliers perched on the side gives a real sense of the size of these tanks!!!

Well I got some more time in the "secret" workshop, todays tasks were to refit the sprockets, tracks and install/test the motors

Motors went in a treat

Image

Sprockets refited I also found the return rollers on one side, were a little to far out not allowing the track horn to sit withing the wheel gap so a washer or two removed and a little filing and this was soon sorted

Then with a little help we turned the chasis over so we could clip the excess bolt that were sticking out of the mud guards.

The end result was with a 6v battery attached to each motor, "it lives" muhahahahaha , to much sorry am excited :)

It's been a while since I posted any progress on either the Hetzer or Jagdpanzer, but today I got some free time at work and pulled the Jagd out of the van, and popped it on the camping table, and started to remove the side armour stand offs (as these are not required on the one I have in mind, and I have put 4 x 12v 7ah batteries in parallel to give me 12v at 28ah.

I'll be tidying up the foam with good old gaffa tape and re doing the link cables, as I had a brain wave after the fact (as usual) I'll be mounting a wooden board on top for the ESC's and the engine compartment will house the switch box etc... I plan to do this next week so I can run it at out next Muckleburgh Collection do (26th & 27th June)
