Hello.
I'm new to all this.
Some of the models I've seen on this forum are truly amazing, well done to you all.
My fiance & I have started modifying Heng Long tanks as a new hobby a few months ago.
So far we've done 3 Pershings, a Hummel & a Wirbelwind. We also have a Tiger 1 that we've had for ages.
1 of the Pershings was a weathered standard Pershing. The next was a Pershing T26e3 type with the metal stowage racks on the rear of the turret & the rear fenders. the last one is in a winter scheme with some very realistic fender damage.
We've still got 1 of the Pershings ( the winter one ) as I'm reluctant to get rid of it 'coz it's my favourite one so far.
We made a nice Hummel with welded metal sides & plasticard detailing. Our Wirbelwind is welded metal with plasticard as well. The Flakvierling has metal barrels with fibre optic cores that are wired into the flashing machine guns. It looks really good when it fires.
We've just finished converting a KV-1 into a KV-2 which looks really good. We managed to keep all the original functions of rotation / elevation & the airsoft still works as well. Our next project is an early Michael Wittman Tiger 1.
We really love finding a type of tank & making it but, unfortunately, we have to sell them when they're finished as we don't have the space to keep them all. Otherwise we'd have a lovely collection, but nowhere to sit.
I'll upload some pics of the tanks we've done, if that's OK?
I may need some advice on how to upload them though.
Hope to hear from some of you soon.
Thanks.
