My budget paint article was sort of stupid so it would be best to remove it.

That sounds like a good idea,I have been throwing out old and empty paint bottles today. Consolidated matching colors and threw away 8 bottles at 5.00 each.I have started with Testors Model Master some years back,this being enamel paint it is costly but with 30+bottles changing to Tamiya is to costly,I due use mineral spirits for thinner which is cheaper,but only allows me to spray the mixed paint,if I try to save the left over it separates.I will give you method a try as most Testors Model Master is available in spray cans for a little more.
