just wondering what mAH rating do you all use in your tamiya tanks? im thinking of buying a longer running time pack but what do you all recommend? i currently have a gp NIMH 3300, but seen some that are 5100 MAH 7.2v, on evilbay for around £24, are these worth buying or to cheap?
also does anyone use or reccomend a fast charger? like this.......

I use a RipMax pro peak fast charger - small and ideal for NiMH. These are often on ebay second hand as people upgrade to Lithium Polymer batteries, which require fancier chargers. I guess you could get a dog but mine was in good condition.

I use 4000mAh batteries in my Tamiya full option with adaptor so both the DMD & MFU are fed by one battery - made by LRP. They are OK.

I use these 3000mah batteries in my tanks except the Leo
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?C ... emID=29036" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and these 5100mah in the leo and Scania truck
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?C ... emID=33811" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
the red 5100mah ones take a while to charge at 5 amps the orange 3000mah ones take about two hours at 5 amps
when the 3000mah batteries have outlived their usefullnes they will be replaced with the 5100mah ones

And what do you guys think about these 6800mah batteries on eBay? The seller claims they are Japanese, but they are delivered from HK.

those 6800 are going to take some time to charge ,but not to sure just how much run you will gain over something like 4200 ?which will charge in about 25 mins at 4 amps as long as it is cold.but the price is very good and p& p free is the best bargain i have ever seen ........
Fleshy..................

i use a Radio Shack 3300mha,full charge in an hour and I get good run times.I chose this battery because I live two blocks from Radio shack and have their batteries in my boats,if one fails they replace it.I dont know if the UK has radio shack,but for us guy's it a good option because of the warranty.Sax

I looked at those 6800's and thought they looked way too cheap for what they were supposed to be... 8O

I have a selection of 3800, 4200, 4600 and 5000 from all-battery.com - good prices if you are in the US, but not sure how competitive they are by the time you have posted them to the UK... :S
