tamiya/heng long hybrid?

just call this a feasability study...

would it possible to build a heng long/tamiya hybrid? i have seen a lot of tamiya parts for sale and they dont seem that expensive was wondering if it would be possible to build a tamiya tank but use mato/heng long parts(tracks, wheels etc) and internals(gearboxes,rx18 etc) to keep cost down?

for example wdm sells all the parts for the KT how much would a kt without any of the internals cost?

just thinking out loud ;)

Im no expert, and may have been looking in the wrong places, but ive seen Tamiya tanks ranging from £280 for a Sherman, £570 for a PZR V and £700+ for a KT (a trumpitier static KT kit is well over £200 on its own), I would think a hybrid is possible, though in my opinion, Tamiya are far superior in every way to heng long, and mixing parts may effect the final look of the tank, but thats just my opinion, and thats why we have this fantastic forum to pass around thoughts and ideas. I'll be interested to see what other members think.
