RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Hi Guys just to let you know that it will be 2 years on the 20/4/10 since Rob(FV432) posted on Rcu (that post ended up 17 pages long might be the reason why most of us were banned)anyone fancy starting a club in the U.K.
Well it seems there are quite a few glad he did write the post I am ,(from little acorns mighty oaks grow)So would like to ask all of you how do you think were doing ,we have had a few meetings where we have been able to chat and battle have fun and more planned this year over 520 members to the forum not bad for 2 years (just how big will it be next year is anyones guess).
So I would like to take this time to thank Rob for making that post which started all this then Matt for stting up the forum which allows us to post and keep in touch (wouldnt know how to set up a forum ,takes me all my time to switch on a computer)Matt your a wizz when it comes to computers(your not bad at building tanks either)

P.S this time last year I think we only had 220 members.

wow was it nearly two years when rob posted that, where has it gone , like you say pete this forum has gone from strength to strength, and long may it carry on, ive met alot of good friends on here ,some sadly no longer with us , all i can say is well done to all of the team and thank you to every member for making this forum what it is

two years already, My how time flys, I still can't get onto RCU so they must hold a grudge against some of us still.

well for me and Mrs forgebear its has been great made lots of friends played with tanks i love the forum and if it was not there the last few months that i have been unwell i would have gone mad so a big thanks to rob and the rest of the team behind the scenes that keep this fine forum running in top condition

Two years already . Is it just me or what as those two years have just shot by. Just want to add my two pence worth here and say thanks to everyone who has helped build and to contribute to this fine forum May the ensuing years be as good as the last two as life would just not be the same without you guys.

I agree fully with your replys about the forum and the work Matt and the rest of those who stay out of the lime light working in the background keeping us going ,great job lads(lassess) a big THANK YOU .

ohhh i remember that thread

i also as some have said, remember the first rctankwarfare site too it was just a website, no forum that i was going to just fill up with tips and tricks ect, the the mod's at RCU started being complete ass's so i added the forum, then the 1/16 IR Armoured division needed somewhere to operate! everything slid into place!

On the RcTankWarfare side of things weve had around 300 members in the second year of the forums existance, thats 80 more than the first year, long may it continue to rise! also posts have risen ALOT, we now have over 45k of posts!

On the 1/16 IRAD side of stuff, i too would like to say thanks to rob for the orriginal idea, its boomed into quite a club with around 30 registered members Ive added registraion stuff to make it easier for us all, so new members can just fill out a form to register! weve had many successful meets in the time, and long may they continue!

this is a great forum, and everyone ive spoke to i find very helpful and friendly and never judge you if your a beginner to the hobby or your skills are not as good, couldnt ask for a better place
even if i dont post replies to some theads, i just enjoy reading them and seeing the great builds ect, so heres to the future

So its all Robs fault that my bank balance has been decimated over the past 2 years is it? Right, I know where he lives!!

It has to be said that without the UK forum I would never have got into tanks in the way that I have, or improved my knowledge and skills either. It's a great interest, and anyone who comes to my house always asks questions about them.

Long may it continue.

Blimey it's been a quick 2 years. It's interesting reading some of the post again. I can't believe it's taken me that long to get 2 tanks I.R. ready !!!.
