ALL QUIET ON THE TANK FRONT!!!!

Post by Militarymight »

Its Middle of March the winter is finally behind us and the first signs of spring are here at long last.
However all seems very quiet on the Tank manufacturers front. Weve had promises rumours alike but nothing concrete no new models to announce review or do battle with so wots going on. Has the recession prevented manufactureres from progressing with the new designs.????
Will we see any new models this year?

Hi I would have thought that Heng Long would have done a Stug 4 ,cheapest way of getting a new tank ,also they could sell it as a kit (there supposed to be selling kits soon )they already have the elevation and recoil units from the Stug 3 ,Or they could make a Hummel or Nashhorn .
Still waiting for the Sherman to land here that should get some interest.Has anyone seen if there is a metal upgrade for the suspension yet or tracks (would love to convert my Tamiya ).

From what I saw on the German boards, HL had hit a snag with the Stug IV and Asiatam decided to go it alone - not sure what the hitch was tho.

Juckenburg has just launched his resin stug IV kit, going for around 90 euro's. Needs a little work if you want all the functions like recoil etc, but most of that could be carried over from the HL stug III. I also saw talk of more half tracks, and profiline seems to be putting out a new conversion kit at the rate of 1 per month so its not as quiet as first meets the eye...

Same goes for the 1/4 Panther...it has been 2 yrs since it was first announced but so far, only the main hull and bits of it has been shown.
