H/L PZIV from The Blitz (RCTankwars.com)

Post by Gigantohawk »

Hi Guys,
I got my PZIV from the Blitz today. It's a great little package all round with DBC Battle system fitted by The Blitz.
Here's the reply email I sent to Phil (The Blitz)

Hi Phil,
My PZIV arrived today. What a great tank it is, it's a great runner. I've never had a tank with metal tracks and they seem to make the tank run more realistically. The firing sounds are really good and I like your Transmitter firing mod.
I haven't tried the battle system against another tank yet. I've got some RCCommand Battle stuff in my Stugs that I have to make work yet. Also my friend Pete ((971wright) made me an apple for my Tamiya Sherman that I haven't fitted yet. But I'll have it sorted out as soon as my new garage is built and I have a workshop again.
If you still want to do a deal with the guys at RCTankwarfare just chime in to the post. You'll have a good recommendation.

Thanks for all your help with this.

All the best,

Nick.

What do you mean by "I've got some rccommand stuff in my Stugs that I have to make work yet"This does not make sense,I recall your post on the Rccommand battle system and the replacement system Bill sent to you resolved the earlier issues,So are you saying the rccommand unit does not work? Please clarify,Blake

On reflection I should have edited that line out of the email I sent to Phil and subsequently pasted on here. I'm not looking to open "The can of worms" on a subject that has been well covered on here.
I was merely wanting to discuss a proposal that Phil put to me In respect of a special deal to all RCTankwarfare forum members in the U.K.
Having said that I think it would be courteous to ask the forum team permission first. If the team are reading this could you let me know if this is acceptable. I don't want to tread on anyone's toes.

Nick, that's why I questioned your post.I did not see why you would want to open that can again? As far as Phil is concerned I respect him, purchased my last tank(Jagdpanther)from Phil.He drop-shipped some parts to another member for me and is a excellent vendor, and friend. If Phil has a proposition for members by all means spill-it? Phil's probably waiting until after he ships the truck load of parts he owes me before he announces any deals - the rebate would be a costly one for him in my case, lol

That said, post away! :D

Hi Nick Glad to here you have your workshop back ,as for Phills offer great news he his the only guy who installs the Darkth system in the Heng long tanks that works very well indeed,Havnt seen anyone complain about his service (unlike some other suppliers that sell a similar system)I bought my first Darkth system from Phill and its still going strong after 2 years cant complain about that .

Ok Gents here goes,

Blake my friend. Well done for watching over my post's. Everything you have said is right and true.
I've had difficulties with Battle systems, in fact so much so, that I just wanted to give up the 1/16 scale Tank thing forever.
Thing's have changed now. I've got an inventory of Battle systems that I have bought to fit to my tanks that need some modification to make work in a way that we all would be happy with. I'll give those Battle systems some time and effort soon.

Ex-Pat, I'm not sure what's happening with you and Phil. I just hope that everything get sorted out in a way that you are both satisfied.

Pete mate, you are always as good as gold.
Debbie has found all the boxes of bits that I chucked into the garage. I'm going to finally fit the Battle bits you kindly built and sent me for my Sherman. I just need a favour mate. Can you send me some pic's on this post to make sure I connect it all in the right way.
My confidence with wiring things has really taken a nose dive

Blake....good call,
I'm also hoping that between all of us we can relax and forget the "credit crunch/recession" and have a lot of fun.
I'm looking forward to seeing all your builds and believe me, I can't wait to post mine.

Best regards Blake,

Nick.
