get some decal softener/setting solution. I can't remember the brand I bought in the UK, might have been humbrol??? (I use Badger's decal softener in here in the US)

The trick is to paint the area first with the setting solution, and then apply the decal while its still wet - once you have it placed you can take the excess water out with a paper towel. Do not let the decal dry out, or else it will shrivel up and peel!

I've tried to find pictures of my tiger, but none of the readily available ones really show it up close (there are some on the Detroit club forum, but you need to sign up first to see them) :(

A tip i was given was to paint the area behind the decal with a gloss varnish, apply the decal let it dry and then repaint over the decal with gloss varnish let that dry and then weather over the decal and object then apply a matt varnish top coat

I used Vallejo's Decal Medium and Decal Set on the decals on my Tiger which seemed to work very well. I've also been told Micro-Sol works well for decals on awkward shapes or textures.

Cheers,

Read this article(stick with it,it's worth it):

It really does work very well for settling down your decals.

Hi,

Vallejo (the model paint people) do a decal solution. On my Tiger 1 I used the rub off dry decals and the went on fine, I gently brushed the decal after application with a soft paint brush.
