Well guy's in my absence from the forum I have been working on the Jagdpanther I got back in November on my B-day.The thing I found as a shock was a metal barrel,turned down and fitted to the airsoft unit.I had no idea the airsoft version would have a metal barrel,the down side is the barrel is mounted to the mantel with a plastic framed support that connects barrel,mantel,and gun.In my case this piece was broken and beyond ever working correctly.The overall layout of the Jagdpanther is excellent,and as expected the smoker fried the element after two hours of running.Does anyone know if the I/R version has a metal barrel? Just curious as it was very difficult for me to machine the Tamiya barrel to work on my Tiger with the airsoft unit.Also do other H/l tanks have metal barrels? Cheers Blake

Yes, mate it does..

They have all got metal sleeves in them but the panzers have all metal barrels as well.

If they can install metal barrels in other tanks why not the Tiger? And does the american tanks like the Bull Dog and the Pershings have metal barrels as well? And the Russian T34 does it also have a metal barrel? Blake

Thanks ICE,I was stunned about my Jagdpanther's barrel being metal and air soft.I went to alot of trouble to modify a Tamiya barrel to airsoft barrel.Why not give the Tiger a metal Barrel from the factory? Sax
