What color had the leather of the seat in the kingtiger and what was the color of the seat metal construction.

Pictures would be appreciated

A build of the Trumpeter KT is going on at the moment in AFV Modeller magazine. They reference an excellent website http://www.panzerbasics.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which has a DVD of interior shots of the Samur KT & Tiger for 30 euros. They also reproduce a number of these pictures in the magazine. On the website header page you can see what appears to be an unrestored white framed drivers seat with a khaki/cream coloured seat pad (there is a better picture in the magazine and you can see the pad is canvas, not leather), although the modeller in the magazine then ignored the reference and painted his frame red oxide and black seat pad! The turret seats in the pictures are from the T1 and painted to match the turret internal metalwork (red oxide) but don't have pads present - I guess they were very prone to wear & tear. I have the Academy 1/35 tiger with full interior and for what its worth they also suggest "light brown" for all the seat pads and hull colour for the frame.

I think you have to be very careful with museum pictures because they aren't necessarily authentic - base your model on the clearly 'untouched' pictures.

Hi I have the forces of valour kt and the seats in that are white frame and black seat this is not to say thts the way it was but here is a pic of how it looks if you done like this.
