hi all

did my local model shop in weston s mare today and picked up the hobbyboss 1/35th leopard strv 122..for £15....

just thought i would add to the ever growing collection of armour

i was woundering if any one has attempted to do this conversion to the tam kit > (1/16) ...

looking at the hobbyboss kit its quite different form the standard leo

any one got any info ?? any thoughts >

1/35th ! .. but have two 1/16 tam leopards also in the box

Thats a good find Iain I like the cammo pattern on the leo it looks great the scratch build on it is way beyond me though.

i know that a conversion of this scale could look ... frightning ... but actualy .. it not all that hard to do .... its just a question of measurments and angles ....

i first started doing conversions at school .. buying airfix kits and bashing them with cornflake boxes as could not afford plastic card

if you wanted to try someting easy .. then have a go at adding armourd skirts to a panther .. then try someting like ( if you could find one ) and upgraded armmour to an m-113 an israilie m-113 then jsut go from there

or if you want a challenge ... build a turret .. nice easy one ilke a cromwell .. its a box .. with a few bolts !

Hi Iain I have scratched built before but the detail in that leo with the hinges on the storage boxes and all the bolts etc takes some doing.
