Thanks to Dave the gearbox specialist for another set of steel tooth gearboxes, this time though they came with a Sherman attached to them. :haha:

ForgeBear Taigen Metal Drive & Idler Wheels!

Greetings to guests and fellow members here at the forum!

As I made known in another recent post, I've updated my HL Tiger I a bit which included some really nice metal drive and idler wheels I ordered online. Many special thanks to Dave (ForgeBearTanks) for delivering my product very fast considering I live in the states. So without further or do, heres a few unboxing photos -

Image
Here's a nice photo of my package that arrived just yesterday evening, I should make note everything was tightly and effectively packed and I was very pleased. (I've blotted out my name and address for privacy's sake)

Image
Here is a photo of what was inside the box, a standard box of Taigen Drive & Idler wheels, along with a complementary card describing the ForgeBearTanks website and business.

Image
Here is the Taigen box opened, showing all the parts that are inside. Thankfully, nothing was missing and there were even some parts I couldn't recognize

Image
Here's a close-up photo of the drive wheels, successfully installed. I'm assuming the gearbox shaft threading is different from HengLongs', so I had to use the old screws from my plastic drive wheels to attach the two together.

Image
Heres a nice close-up of the newly installed idler wheels, in which I had to make some modifications to the chassis idler wheel shaft in order for it to accept the pin that attaches the idler wheel, which included having to strip the shaft threading in order to accept the threadless idler wheel pin.

Thank you all for reading this post! I hope you enjoyed it! Please feel free to post any comments you have and I hope you have a fantastic day! :D

I am pleased everything arrived in good order,
The Sprocket caps are often MISTAKENLY Glued in position, DONT DO IT, You will at sometime in the future need to remove the sprockets,
A small Neo-Dymion magnet glued inside the sprocket cap will hold the cap in place against the Hex headed securing screw and yet can be removed with the use of your (Hopefully) Strong Thumb Nails.
Shaun.

Thank you for the tip! Even with the plastic Drive wheels the sprocket caps had to be pried off using a flathead screwdriver.
