Found ETOs Turnigy Chip looks interesting anyone got one how
do they go does it make starting and stopping more scale like?

Check out Rcuniverse.com and do a search there. There are some threads about that. The chip gives the tank a much more realistic feel and it is tunable so you can make it more or less depending on the weight of the tank you are running.

Hi I have one in My Tamiya Pershing ,In the Pershing there a little hard to setup because of the start up procedure,but when they are set no need to touch them again ,it adds Momentum to the tank because of the signal delay it makes it slow to accelerate and also takes time to roll to a stop,you have to think hard about what your doing because it dosnt stop dead ,with other systems you can do a reverse to make it stop.On other models they are easyer to set up .
I only have the Tamiya but if I get another one it will have one of these in ,it makes them more fun to drive.

I've got one in my Tiger 1, its brilliant! I'm still fine tuning it to get the acceleration/deceleration perfect, but it adds a whole new level of realism. The set-up takes no tim at all, and depending on how fussy you are, you can tune it in no time. The only thing I wish we could add is the braking from the el-mod system.

Hi Rik having no brakes is what makes it real fun cringing when it looks like your going to hit something then a big breath when it justs misses.

That is true Pete! I'm starting to get the hang of driving it now, but the amount of times i've nearly run it into a step or cupboard! I don't want to lose all that shiny brass afterall, lol.
On this subject, how does everyone have theirs set? I've got a fairly quick acceleration and a slightly longer stop. What would be good for a Tiger 1? Did they stop quickly and take a while to get up to speed?

Of course a cheaper alternative to the Elmod that still gives you momentum and braking is ye olde trusty Darkith system. Without the sound card (that isn't needed) it is not a lot of cash, and you get a Tamiya compatible battle system into the bargain.

I don't think its compatible with Tamiya electronics though, which the Turnigy chip is.

You go for it Panzerman just love mine all i would say is if playing in you home take care or you will spend more time repairing your tank than driving it!so when you set it up place on a block of some sort, or it will be a pile of bits on the floor ,,you have been warned.........
