Hi guys, I have got started on my M51 build going to be using Tamiya sherman lower hull and internals with the Mato upper hull and turret suitably modified.
Not much to show at the moment I fully stripped the tamiya sherman and undercoated the suspension ready for the first coat of Israeli sand.
Stripped the mato hull and turret of all details ready for the mods turret already has the early style split loaders hatch and raised surround removed I now need to fill the hole and put in the oval one piece hatch, just need to ask around my friends and family to see if i can use someones printer as mine now refuses to load any paper and the plans for the m51 are on the pc bloomin typical




thats all for now hope to post some more soon but at least I've finally started wanted to build one of these for a while

Good idea, be nice to see a desert yellow Sherman instead of Olive Green ones!

Which begs the question.....what did you do with the Mato lower hull??

Hi Rob I will be using the bogies of the Mato lower hull on a Tamiya hull so i can get adjustable idlers and use the Tamiya gearboxes, these will go on my M36 Jackson TD got the turret conversion just need to scratchbuild the upper hull.
