Well I finally got my Mato sherman, everything is running ok only had a couple of minor things broken (tow cable and lifting hook easily fixed)
just posting some pics as Fleshy and Septon wanted to see it before I pull it apart and use the lower hull for an M36 and the upper hull for an Israeli M51

Nice one Ian. Can you post dome details of build quality, pics of internals etc before you get your hammer & saw out?
Cheers
John

I have been asked some questions so here goes- Hi John as far as the build quality goes it is the same as the Heng longs I would say (same factory I think as it was shipped from Shantou in China) New gearboxes and different boards, I will open up the gearboxes and post some more pics.
On opening the tank the mount for the speaker was broken off weather this was the factory or post office handling is anyones guess

For a good vid of one running check out oztrucks vid

Paul the tracks are all plastic but seem well made the sprockets seem to be Heng long type fittings so will not fit Tamiya without modifying them also the centre screw seems quite narrow in diameter (havent got a heng long gearbox to hand to see if it fits will dig one out tomorrow)

Right I'm off to pull it apart some more
Cheers Ian
