hi all hope you all had agood xmas and got lots of prezzies.
yesterday i went to my local model shop for some paint for my panther as i was paying i noticed a magazine on the counter with a big picture of a allied tank i had not seen before.
so i picked a copy up to find out what it was, on further reading it is a panther disguised as an m10
it said it was of the 150 panzer brigade which was a special unit used in the ardennes to capture bridges at ama engis and huy.
they used allied equipment to confuse us they only had two shermans but they were broken and never got usedso they cnverted 5 panthers.
does anyone have any more pics of these tanks? as lily wants me to help her build one
i would post some pics but they would be pics of pics an dont know how good they would be or if i could get done for copywrite.

theres no need to remove the muzzle break the ersatz panthers that were used all had them fitted, although there are a couple of pics showing the break missing ( for whatever reason ) ersatz stugs and Pz IV's were also fielded.

Hi there . Yes the Germans used these during the battle of the bulge along with German soldiers dressed in US uniforms . Im sure I have some line drawings of this conversion although not sure what scale . If your intrested I would be more than happy to photocopy them and post them to you.
