my old Tiger

Hello gents.

My first "real"post in the forums(apart from introducing myself),so I'll introduce my Tiger.
Some of you may have seen it before, some not, anyway,it's a 2007 S&S,with the usual gun and mantle modifications, full repaint and markings to represent No213 of Spz Abt 501.
Ididn't want to do a really filthy battered machine,so I've kept it reasonably clean with light weathering.
It still runs the original RX13(?)board but with an enlarged heatsink fitted, standard sprockets, idlers and tracks.
The tracks are airbrushed with a 50/50 mix of Alclad Steel and Aluminium but without any rusting as I'm told German tracks never rust.
Since these photos were taken,it's had an internal RC antenna fitted too.
The standard nylon geared 'boxes are still fitted along with the original blackcap motors, but I'm looking for a spare pair of nylon gearboxes so that I can do the 3to1ratio modification.

Thanks Viper.

And as it happens:

The RX-13 turned over so that it's components are facing upward.
You can also see the blanking plates fitted over the underside switch slots.
Image

The bigger heatsink in place sitting ontop of the original tiny heatsink.
It was pinched from the internals of a scrap computer.
Image

The underside switches, well the on/off master switch and volume control
moved to a small fabricated mounting under the right hand rear engine grilles.
The smoker switch was left on the main RX-13 board and turned off
(I never use the smoker anyway).
Image

The very, very simple internal recieving antenna.A length of copper wire
slightly longer than the original one that's mounted on the top of the engine deck
and wound around a plastic tube with some scrap Plasticard squares on the ends to mount it
inside the hull.

Any more questions,just fire away.

Nice looking Tiger! I also prefer the lightly weathered look since these beasts actually run outdoors and accumulate the proper dirt/mud/snow to weather themselves.

Oh dear,this one's got it's BB gun in and it's a corker :S
Plenty of waft in it for a standard one.
