a question for the I.R battlers

hi guys
i have never been into this battleing lark, mainly because the sight of the I.R unit sticking out of the turret, i really dont like the idea of it being there permanantly, what i would like to know is, is it a permanant fixture, or is it a plug in thing you put in for a battle, then unplug when not in a battle? with out taking the tank apart, if it was the latter, then i would probably get a system so i could have a "punch up" with the tanks

thanks for that pete,  do those ir sensors grompix does just plug into the battle unit?,  i have all Elmod electronics in my Tiger, so i would  buy their csi battle system, would it work with that, heres a link to it, http://www.el-mod.de/index.php?cPath=77 ... d8a60160fd
let me know what you think, those sensors sure are the dogs danglies, how much are they?, looking that good i would leave it in permanantly.

Hi Tony send Grompix (Chris) a P.M he will help Im pretty sure you can convert the El-mod csi to look like his he the ones he has done are Tamiya hes done it with DBU as well I think not sure if he has done the CSI unit but they are all very much alike inside he can tell you I will be doing mine later have six to convert all together IM like you dont like the apple sticking out niether does Chris he is the first to do this mod so he is the expert.
