Hello to everybody - I have been sent to your site from Dave and Julie Allerton aka Forgebear. I have been a keen modeller over the last 7 years dabbling in rc planes , boats, static plastic model kits, die cast collectables past and present, trains and now rc tanks. I have joined to gain information and hopefully give information from my triumphs and mistakes so as to help anyone new to the HL tanks scene.

So far in my collection I have 1 full option Tamiya tiger 1 (kit form), 1 HL tiger 1 1st generation RX 13 sound and smoke, but with metal sprockets, idlers and metal tracks in a desert camo finish , 1 HL Superdeluxe RX18 infra red ready full metal version/ hull suspension wheels, sproclets, idlers in dark grey camo and 1 Mato KT too which will be my winter project to convert to rx18 with metal wheels, tracks sprockets and idlers.

I am not an rc tank guru so i am here to learn from you guys and gals and hope to give something back in the near futur!!!!

Cheers merry xmas and a happy rc tanking new year

margandy

Hi everyone

wow!! thanks for your interest just a couple things to kill all birds with one stone the superdeluxe tank tiger 1 was ordered from Kin at T.ankzone it was everything i wanted without having to pay over £300.00 or more. and doing it myself - he promotes these one offs but will also do comissions on request with a quote I have not tested it yet I will wait till the new year and post pics with a small review. It was advertised on his website for £269.00 plus shipping of £24.60 to France. It is reallly heavy in a heavy dark german grey camo. Blake i will check out that re KT Gearbox thread you gave me as I will need alot of adice at each stage of the rebuild. I want to give something back to this forum as you are all a great bunch of guys and girl ans are very welcoming and willing to give advice!!! I have posted my first pics of my mark 2 tiger 1 w/ rx13 just with upgrades of metal sproclets/ idlers and now metal tracks (form Forgebear) please check out the special effects pic making it look like an old photo you would find in a captains box full of his medals!! if you have any leads/ info on the mato kt rebuild please post to direct me as i want to do as much research as possible before taking the plunge. To ice, stevie, Dave/Julie, mt1, Alan, mattdragon thanks especially mattdragon who helpem me sort out my 150 kb challenge!!!

regards
