My Pershing has taken a bit of a back seat currently with the purchase of a Tamiya Scania R620, MFC-01 unit and a flatbed trailer. I really need to buy or modify my flatbed, seeing how half of the Pershing's tracks hang over each side. At least there's chains to secure the load in the meantime.

Looking good, surprised you didn't go for the camo look on the Scania?

I wouldn't like to be the Pershing driver and get the tank on in one piece... :D

In my country, the military commonly requisitions civilian trucks to lug tanks around during mobilization exercises. While we don't use Pershings, the Singapore Armed Forces has got some Leopard 2A5 tanks. Its my hope to eventually acquire a Leopard as well as a proper low loader. In the meantime its just fun to use the flatbed to bring my tank to battles.

I've added a LED beacon lamp to the roof to simulate a mechanical revolving beacon:

A friend of mine who is handy with soldering irons and reading capacitors and chips made it up for me, it includes a potentiometer to control the speed of the "rotation". If you're interested I can ask him how much it would take to make one up for you.

Not too sure if its the same one as what Magman showed in his build thread, those look much better than a scratchbuild. I didn't go for that because they seem to cost around 40-50 Euro and I can't find a place sells it to me.

It is item 500907010 from Carson.

Photographs of the newly fitted stainless steel ramp and widened flatbed. With so much weight so high up, a low loader is definitely more ideal, but this will have to do for now. I've added LEDs down each side also.
