Saw this on the bay.

Is it a good deal ? thats if it is the very latest Panther G ? Metal tracks, Sprockets, Gearboxes included. £104.99
I'm not looking to buy the new Panther just yet, but like every one else I'm always on the look out for a good deal.
Comments please.

Looks very good on the surface ( to good ? ). A smoke and sound Panther with Metal wheels, tracks and gearbox . However it's the BB firing version of the model which is a small minus point ( IMO ) and stock is not due till 14th December. All I can say is as long as it's the latest Panther G and not an older Pantiger there could be some very happy people out there. As always when dealing with the bay one has always got to be wary of getting stung. Not saying you will just expressing a few thoughts and opinions. As my old Gran said if it seems to good to be true it probabaly is lol.

I couldn't agree more about being wary. I would prefer a recoil version Ir myself, If it is ligit and its a recoil version on a new G at that price, it would be a great deal. But as you say, buyer beware.

Hi Steiner just had a quick trawl round there site and they do indeed list the older Panther ( pantiger ) as well as the new Panther G as seperate items plus a lot of other RC stuff. Maybe worth seeing if one could go direct rather than through the bay. Also noted you can get free delivery in the UK. Might be worth a go if one can pay using a cerdit card or Paypal so that you get protection just in case ?.

I've just ordered a KV-1 S&S (BB) from Nitrotek, £69.99 posted, payed with PayPal and bought directly from their site.
It's a pre-order with free P&P, hence the good price.
I had no qualms ordering from them; I don't think it's 'too good to be true', why would an obviously large established RC retailer be out to con people?
Perhaps (and PLEASE everyone don't take this the wrong way), we are a little conditioned as to what constitiutes a 'good' price by what is advertised here and on ebay by well known retailers and we don't always look further afield for better prices.
Cheers,
Andy

It really is the same price as our forum member vendors here in the U.S..150.00$,But three things in the description require a little clarity, metal wheels, rubber lined wheels, music emulation sound. My new Jagdpanther does not have rubber lined wheels and has the basic H/L sounds. Now if this is a metal track, sprocket, and gearbox Panther-g this is a good deal.I agree with Andy that their is no reason for Nitro-Tek to cheat anyone. The three points I made are just not accurate from nitrotek but the tank is a G version. cheers, Blake

EKKK Nitrotek!!!
ive only dealt with them once, a while ago, and their service is crap to say the very least!
before i knew about this hobby i had bought a 1/16 hl pershing, and sent it back because it was fautly, they blamed me for driving it offroad!!! even though they had a video of it offroad, and going through water 3inches deep! (i didnt touch it with water)
also, after 4 disputes over the phone, it took them 3 months to offer a refund the whole time the tank was in their possession)
also as a side note,we had a nitrotek rep register to the old forum, and had to be banned because they were advertising, but not contributing to the forum, not asking if they could advertise, and not responding when asked any questions.
thanks.. just thought id let you know ...

I have sent a question to customer service at Nitro-tek asking them to clarify their description of the listed metal parts. The main thing they state is metal tracks, metal sprockets, and metal rubber lined wheels. Now we all know that metal rubber lined wheels are available from several vendors and are more than their asking price for this Panther, this seems odd to me.well I asked and will post the answer if and when it is given, one other thing the vendors on this forum know me and most know where I spend my money with vendors we know and trust period. cheers Blake

We had the same on the UKTC forum, he flipped his lid when we asked him politely to keep to posting just a link to his site, in the end banned etc...
