Hi lads,
I wish to treat myself for Christmas....dont tell the management.
I have looked on net and can't find a Tammy Sherman for a sensible price. I know it is going to be in excess of £300 pounds but the ones I see are over £400....any ideas please?
Cheers....Mike

Rite...found cheapest one is at Wonderland Models for £365.00.
So where do I get the battle system from and does it just plug into the Tamiya electronics that comes with the Sherman...or do I have to buy something else????
Who ever I fone does not seem to know what they are on about....fank gawd for this club.
Thanks in anticipation......(or constipation when Sue finds out)
Mike

The Tamiya battle system is complete unit to plug in. Being Tamiya the socket attaches to the inner hatch and the mushroom plugs straight in. I bought one on Ebay a couple of months ago for about £25, but as my planned Tamiya never happened I sold it on. However, never one to miss a bargain, I just bought another for £10.
I think it is part 53447, it all comes in the box.
Glad to hear that you have got a Sherman, its definately one on my wish list, and one day I am going to spot that elusive bargain on Ebay....one day!

Matt - And your point is??

I think that was the point of Mick's post, he already knows where to buy a Sherman...
Rite...found cheapest one is at Wonderland Models for £365.00.
It's a bit like 'I am building a Super Pershing', except that Mick will get his Sherman!!
You should be responding to Micks question if you think that you can be of assistance to him, rather than commenting on my comments?

I think, this comment is still relating to his first question (quote number 2) .. its the cheapest he can find, but doesn't mean that he has it

Correct me if im wrong, but isn't that last post of yours, exactly what you just said not to do ?
Mickyb, sorry bout that
if you haven't already found one,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-53447-DMD- ... 4a9c24cc99 seems a fair price. not cheap like some lucky buggers have gt their grubby mits on them ... but for standard its not bad.
also, again, if you haven't already bought the Sherman, try your best to get one from in the UK, as i just recently found ouch, that if a tamiya DMD fails, you get a lifetime warranty with it - however if its a HK import, guess where you have to send it back to:
[spoiler2]HONG KONG[/spoiler2]
cheers mate,
Matt

Hi chaps
many thanks for your replies I realy appreciate your help.
I have been away in Belgium for a few days and returned home this evening. I must say that reading your messages is like listening to my two kids niggling each other when they were younger.....Matt certainly keeps you all in yer place doesn't he.
I find it interesting that a model can be priced over £100 differently in the same country....dishonest trading I feel.
Shermans are reasonably priced from Japan on e-bay but the post puts the price way up.
Never mind Santa is on his way..............
Off to Liverpool and Blackburn for a few days so won't pick up messages 'till friday.....have a good week fellas
Mike
