Just starting on my new Jagdpanther, I was thinking of removing the front track guards, would anyone know on the real Jagd would this leave a mounting flange along the front edge of the hull ? Cant find a photo showing this area. Thanks. :D

Thanks that sort of helps, cant see a flange on there, Heng long have put a row of bolts along back edge of guard that would suggest it bolted to some sort of bracket or flange. :D

there was no bracket welded under the track guard on the jagdpanther but on the (panther A) a bracket did support the guard.

i think i misread your post, there is a bracket welded along the front of where the guard is mounted this is where it was bolted onto the vehicle, i remember measuring the bracket at bovvy and it was (if memory serves) 3inch shorter than the original track-guard and the bracket was 2inch wide.

Ah now I see, thought there must be something to bolt it to, think I will cut guard off forward of moulded join and create a bracket/flange , has anyone else removed these ? Thanks for help :D
