Panther G Sprocket

Hi Guys a bit of help please.

I've up graded the HL Panther G with strong springs and metal tracks and sprockets. The problem I have is the track is now clipping the towing eyes. It's exactly the same set up as my JP (same bottom half and no problems). I cant put a washer in there to push the sprocket out because of the shape of the drive shaft so I'm stumped.
Any one come across this before and have a fix or have a bright idea that might solve the problem.

Cheers

Dave

It is not the sprocket spacing on my Jagdpanther it is the u-hook mounting. On the side facing the sprocket their is a molded spacer that off-sets the u-hook toward the sprocket, grind this off and use washers to space the u-hook over away from the sprocket.Sorry camera is broken so I can't post pics.Sax

Hi, I had that problem to, I got some washers and cut off a sliver to fit the keyway using a good pair of side cutters. I did not know about the tow shackle spacer though. Also tankmodellbau make spacers for the axel's so it must be a known problem when fitting metal sprockets ....they have them on the jagdpanther page.

Nic,

Thanks I've just done that mod and the Panther runs a lot smoother, took 6 washers on each side. The track was grinding the side of the hull and this fix has done the job.

Cheers

Just thought I would add this is a molding error on the Jagdpanther,if you look at the real Jagdpanther picture you will notice the spacer is welded to the other side of the hull, spacing the tow-hooks away from the track,H/L molded the spacer on the wrong side, causing the problem.Sax
