Decal

Post by michaelwhittmann »

I can't remember the post but it mentioned treating or spraying the decals after placement
to remove what I call "the decal look". It just doesn't blend in right. You can see the film in between
the numbers or letters.

A picture of the treatment would be greatly appreciated. Or any other advice.

I currently use micro set then micro sol

Thx.

I gloss varnish the area where the decals are going to go
then apply the waterslide decal usig decal fix and when dry gloss varnish over it
when thats dry i spray a matt coat over them
it usually hides the film between numbers letters

Almost the same way Alan goes.
Apply clear varnish gloss
Next I ad Micro Set (blue bottle)
Apply decal on the wet surface.
When dried up, apply Micro Sol (red bottle).
Finish it off with clear varnish matt.
No more decal shimmering when everything dried up.
Rob.
