Hey I’m heading down to the US Army Armor and Cavalry Collection at Fort Benning for the model show today, last year I did a detailed walk around of quite a few of their pieces.

If anyone wants me to do a walk around for a vehicle not on here that they have, or if you want some pictures of a specific nook and cranny, let me know. I can’t remember exactly what they have, but I’ll try and look for it.

Had a good time, saw some models (and some nicely painted HLs) met a guy with a 1/3 scale RC Sherman, took a video of the new (to me) Jagdpanther on display, and got politely questioned about whether or not I was a spy for a foreign government.

Here’s a video of the 1/3 scale Sherman.

The guy was so nice and happy, let kids get inside of it and take pictures. Has a gas engine in the back that charges a large 12v battery. Controlled with a FlySky. Has an air cannon that he loads with baby powder to simulate cannon smoke.

He said that it’s a scaled up 1/10 Sherman model, all of it is 3D printed from PLA+ with the exception of drive chains, motors, bearings, and some bolts. No wood, expect for a plywood floor for support when kids get in it.

One of these times I'll get out to the east coast and see the collection during one of the open houses.
