Hello, well, when I see everyone's superb work, I hardly dare show my own modest project! But anyway, here goes, regarding my Jagdtiger that's been sleeping in its crate for many years... let's start with the upper chassis
Animated machine gun, with servo mount, aluminum reinforcement, plastic slot continuation

Commander's turret modification, for 1/4 turn rotation via servo

Tank commander's turret rotation mechanism

Adding track element supports

This is where I am at the moment. Personally, I haven't decided which era yet?
He also didn't do any housework.

no:
Holy cow!! "my own modest work, let me start with my animated mg servo rig"---.:DEAD:. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
THATS EXCELLENT!!!! do you have plans for gun traverse? Im about to throw a wrench in my plans mid game by adding to the original plan.
The middle track hangers and the crane mounts on the roof date your jagdtigers production from feb-march 45. (Correct me of I'm wrong) So she late production i believe.
Im looking forward to building a jagdtiger along side of ya!!

Yes the middle hangers definitely make it a late production. Which I find much more interesting than my early model. I've always wondered has anyone ever tried the elevation/traverse mech that comes on the Torro Sturmtiger on a Torro JT. It works really well on the Sturmtiger and there is hardly a lack of space for it in the JT's casemate.
Also I found the Dennis Oliver Jagdtiger book to be very good. Probably the best of his Tank Craft books I have and also very good if you are doing a late Jagdtiger

Hello, no, lateral movement of the cannon is not planned? It's been considered, but seemed complicated to me. Attached is a video of a project, like the ones that exist on the "RCTankunivers" forum, I'll stick with what my (ten) big fingers can manage.

I see. Yes thats definitely a complex set up there... a buddy sent me a 3d printed setup today. I haven't printed it yet and im not sure itll just bolt right in but its definitely in the works.!!
Im very impressed with the moving MG!!! Looking forward to seein yours come together!!

The mobile machine gun was a challenge; it required patience, several attempts, and good advice from this forum.
Regarding the lateral movement of the cannon, I've thought about it, but haven't really found a mechanical solution. Furthermore, it seemed to me that it would require a lot of chassis modifications, and if it worked, there would be no way to revert to the original configuration!

Jofaur86, when you wrote "modest project," did you make a translation error? It should read "great project"!

Im sure the MG was no easy undertaking. It is impressive!! This fourum is quite the resource!!!
There's a guy on Facebook that has some Top quality works. His jagdtiger's gun moves left to right which originally got me thinking about it. He makes his rig from scratch. Its slick. Another FB buddy sent me a link the files for a unit, its just about printed now. I wasnt that serious about it until I got the unit. Im still far from anything real. I have to assemble and understand it, then make it work in the jagdtiger....But I want to make it work now not sure what it will require. Im not worried about modifying it. This puppy staying with me!

One of the guys in our club has a JT ( first one I'd ever seen as this was just when I was getting into the hobby)and he had his with traverse. There definitely wasn't any 3D printing and he said it was a lot of work so it's good to see kits are being produced. It wouldn't be any use to me as I just leave my barrel locked in the travel crutch but it is cool to see the gun traversing like on my Jagdpanther and JPIV/70
