Hi Guys 8)

Decided to join this community as I have seen some useful information for someone like me who is trying to get into the Tank RC hobby. I have ordered a Heng Long 1/16 Tiger 1 (Basic edition) and can't wait to get it delivered! I'm already not very excited about finding out that the v7.0 Main board has the Leopard sounds so I'll be looking into replacing the Main board itself at some point with the one that has original Tiger 1 sounds!

I'm sure I will see you guys in the Forum threads around here!

See ya!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada!
There's two 7.0 boards out there, and one has HL Tiger sounds. 50:50 chance!

Mike.

Hello and welcome from Argyll and Bute.

I presume you like Rock Music with that name?

How did you become aware that it had the Leopard/Abrams sound set? And not the Tiger/T90 sound set. You should have grounds to reject it, unless it was advised as having the incorrect sound set. Forgebear, and Haya are both reputable suppliers in the UK. You may pay a bit more, but they send what they advertise, and their back up is second to none.

Welcome. The MFU (multi-function unit) will have either the Abrams/Leopard version or the Tiger/T90. There are two sound sets on each MFU and you can switch between the two soundsets on that MFU.

Hey :)

Thanks for the welcome message! Yes, I'm hoping I'll get the v7.0 Main board with the actual Tiger sound lol! Actually, I have changed my mind and ordered a King Tiger instead of a Tiger 1, maybe I'm wrong, but I've seen lots of vids on YT where Henglong KT has two different engine sounds and one of them does not sound like a Leo or Abrams :haha: !

Hello there 8) !

Thanks for the welcome message! Haha yes, I do like Rock music, this has been my online gaming nickname in forever :haha: !

Regarding the sounds, I am only assuming as most of the videos on YT I've seen with Heng Long Tiger 1 v7.0 Main board 9 times out of 10 everyone had the Leo/Abram's engine sounds... I have actually changed my order to King Tiger instead, so will see how that sounds once I get it delivered.

Much appreciated for the UK retailer names, I will have a look at what they have. I ordered mine on Allie Express trying to save some coin, so will see if that's not going to backfire at me :lolno: !
