Heng Long Walker Bulldog 7.0 sounds stopped working

Hi. I’m fairly new to the hobby of r/c tanks. Got the Heng Long M41 A3 Walker Bulldog two years ago. Everything worked great. Hadn’t run it for awhile and the remote wouldn’t turn on. Saw that two of the batteries had leaked a bit. Cleaned the contacts, put new batteries in and everything worked but no sounds now (engine, machine gun, etc.). Think it’s in the tank or the remote? I can buy a new remote. Nowhere near as fun to run without all of the sounds.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome from Argyll and Bute.

It might be something simple. You may have invertently turned the sound off. If you have a TX6.0, or 6.1, then pressing V and G will scroll through the volume. If you have a TK7.0, or 7.1 then it is V and control stick 1 up.

Hopefully you will participate for longer than just the one appearance to gain your answers?

Hi, according to my instructions (7.0 Bulldog received this Christmas) you can factory reset by pressing padlock G and K with the TX off, then turn it back on with them still held. The TX should make a sound then release and factory reset is done.

note: I have not tried this so please do it at your own risk!

Possibly good to try V and control stick 1 up first?

Tried all of those already. Might be the speaker or the connections. Will keep at it.
