Graupner Smoke Units

Im looking at smoke units for my next tank, and im thinking a 12v unit might produce more smoke than the 6v one. The quest is, will 7.2v be enough to run one of these units? Any ideas.
Cheers,
Rik

Grim my boy you need one of the train 6volt jobs called Seuthe super smoker, they make two sorts one with a tube or one that you can that you can put into a tub , but it does mean more work .......... cost about £ 20 plus pounds each but the lads will confirm that the one that is fitted to the pershing works well, with a little help from some small servos.. if you wish to know more pm me and ishall be glad to help......

Fleshy, is this what you ment?

It looks excellent, and the drip feed design is perfect, as its really annoying having to refil my Tiger all the time. It says operating voltage 6-7v, will it handle 7.2v? Or do you need to use resistors? Im not that great with the electrical side.
Cheers,
Rik

Hi this is a link (below) to my tiger web page, scroll down and you will see how I used the smoke unit, simple but effective but don't turn the tank upside down!

Actually it doesnt have to be that much work guys, for a tiger 1 just take the centre tubes out of the exhaust and drop a smoker in each side, connect to a 6v battery pack and away you go
they are great little units, its what i have in the M113 as well!
